Great for picnics and b day parties
My favorite spot to hang out at the beach nearby. It's a bit of a drive from Chattanooga, but well worth it! It is $3 per car for the daily rate. Dogs are not allowed. It has beautiful scenery and the water was warm enough at the middle of October to swim! There are plenty of small fish to see (they come up to greet you when your in the water). We have gone a few weekends in a row and there was never more than a handful of people. The views are spectacular! The only downside is that you can hear the traffic go by, but generally it's not too loud. There are 4 unisex restrooms (there was no hand soap in either of the two I went in, but there are flushing toilets, sinks and hand dryers) and a overhang over picnic tables. There is a peninsula made of concrete and the whole thing is covered in sand. It's basically a giant sandbox! There are bear proof trash bins near the parking. This is a great small park to relax, enjoy a picnic and swim a bit in beautiful water! Loo
