We went with a group and it was amazing! So much fun...few suggestions if you are going for the first time ...SUNSCREEN, pool shoes (rocks in the river if you are standing are sharp) and tethers if you want to hook tubes together. The campground is very nice and cleaner than most, facilities were clean with lots of room and the staff are all great. I will make this a yearly event!

Nice people, but...
This place is a total cluster! The only reason I gave it one star is because you can't give a zero. Went all the way to the top of the mountain, when we got there they did not have a boat for us. Management didn't seem to care that they ruined our weekend. Said it was the last trip nothing he could do! Go up the road to Webb brothers.
UPDATE- a year later, bathrooms still in same pitiful state .
I'm not expecting a Hilton, but jeez....

The staff is always extremely nice, smiling, and courteous. They always make my groups feel right at home. I couldn't have asked for a better trip to celebrate Father's day and an awesome birthday for a dear friend. Even the cloudy weather when we first arrived made the river that much more beautiful with the fog and misty rainbows.
Nice place & nice folks otherwise.
We were there Sat & Sun...same condition both days. No cleaning apparent.

Amazingly nice folks. Took my wife and niece and nephew for there first kayak trip. They were extremely friendly and helpful and were great at easing my nieces fear.(she was scared at first) we had a blast. Amazing scenery and great waters for beginners. A few rough rapids gave adventure with relaxation. This was my 3rd time on this river and it never gets old. Highly Highly recommend this river, trip, and using hiawassee outfitters for your gear. Great boats with life jackets paddles and drop off for family of four was under $100. 5.5 mile trip was about 4 hours of amazing fun.
